Social Media Management

Your social media isn't about going viral. It's about meeting your customers where they expect to find you online.

When a potential customer finds you - through search, a referral, or an ad - one of the first things they do is check your social profiles and reviews. If the last post is from 2023 or none of your reviews have replies, they are more like to move on.

Here's something most social media agencies won't tell you: if you're a manufacturer, a builder, or a service company, social media is probably never going to be your primary lead generation channel. You're not selling trainers. Nobody's going to impulse-buy a new garage door because they saw it on Instagram.

But that doesn't mean social media doesn't matter. It matters a lot - just not in the way most agencies will pitch it to you.

When someone gets a recommendation for your business, what do they do? They Google you. They find your website. And then they check your Facebook, your Instagram, your LinkedIn. They're not looking for viral content. They're looking for recent work. Real projects. Proof that you're active, professional, and doing the kind of work they need done and that you are doing it well.

A dead social profile doesn't just miss opportunities - it actively undermines everything else you're doing. Your PPC campaign drives someone to your site, they click through to your Facebook page, and the last post is a Happy Christmas message from two years ago. That's not neutral. That's a red flag.

There is also the temptation to be on every possible social media platform going. This is generally not the right move. We show you where the most impact for your business will come from, and we prioritise making fewer accounts work harder.

We manage social media for businesses like yours with one clear goal: make sure your online presence reinforces the quality of your actual work, shows your customers who you are and what you stand for, consistently, without you having to think about it.

Our Process

1

We look at what you've got now, what your competitors are doing, and where your customers actually spend their time. For most service businesses, that's Facebook and Google Business Profile. For manufacturers selling B2B, it's LinkedIn. We won't waste your money posting on platforms your customers don't use.

2

We build a repeatable content system around what you already produce: completed projects, team updates, behind-the-scenes work, customer results. We'll set up a simple process for you or your team to send us photos and updates (usually just a WhatsApp message), and we turn those into professional posts. No stock photos. No generic motivational quotes. Your actual work.

3

We handle the scheduling, posting, and community management. That means responding to comments and messages promptly - because nothing looks worse than a customer asking a question on Facebook and getting silence. You'll approve the content calendar monthly, but you won't need to touch the day-to-day.

4

Monthly reporting on what's working: which posts get engagement, whether profile visits are translating to website traffic, and how your social presence compares to competitors. We adjust the strategy based on data, not guesswork. And we'll be honest - if a particular platform isn't delivering anything useful, we'll tell you to stop paying us for it.

Common Concerns

Social media is a waste of time for our type of business

For lead generation on its own? Maybe, but maybe not, it might be that your content is not working hard enough for you. Also, social media isn't operating in isolation. If you're a Newcastle based engineering firm you might not be getting sales from social media, but it is one thing that validates you when customers find you through other channels. Think of it as part of your digital store front - it doesn't bring people to the street, but it convinces them to walk in once they're there.

We've tried posting ourselves but it always falls off

Of course it does. You run a business - you've got actual work to do, work that you are great at. Social media consistency requires someone whose job it is to keep it going. That's literally what we do. We take it off your plate entirely so you never have to feel guilty about the Facebook page you haven't touched in three months. You get full approval of our planned posts each month via your client dashboard, and then we take care of the rest. Many clients decide to remove this approval step once they see that we have their company tone of voice nailed and just let us do our thing, but you can always have that approval step if you want it.

We don't have anything interesting to post

Yes you do. You just don't think of it as interesting because you see it every day. A completed kitchen installation in Whitley Bay is your Tuesday, with another in Gosforth by the end of the week. To someone planning their own kitchen renovation, it's exactly what they need to see. Finished projects, before-and-afters, the team at work, a tricky problem you solved - that's all content, and it's better than anything made up, as long as it is wrapped up in a consistent and compelling way. We can advise you on how to take the best photos, what to capture, what details we need to craft the perfect posts for you and then you can turn that annoying task at the end of a long week into a simple part of your day that you don't need to worry about. Add photos and a voice note explaining the project in your client dashboard and we will take care of the rest.

How much does this cost?

Less than you'd think, and significantly less than letting your digital presence go dark. Our social media management is a monthly retainer - we'll scope it based on how many platforms you need covered and how much content you want going out. We'd rather do two platforms properly than five platforms badly, and the chances are you don't need to be posting on half of them anyway.

Can't we just use AI to generate posts?

You can. And your customers will be able to tell. AI-generated content is fine for filling gaps, but a feed full of it feels hollow - especially for a business where the work is physical and visual. We use AI as a tool where it makes sense (caption drafts, hashtag research, scheduling optimisation), but the content itself should be your real work, presented properly.

Services Work Better Together

Social media doesn't work in isolation - it amplifies everything else you do. Your website converts better when visitors can see an active social presence backing it up. Your SEO improves when Google sees consistent activity. Your paid ads perform better when prospects can see a legitimate, active business behind the ad.
